Storia[]

Il 23 gennaio 2014 è stato pubblicato un video in cui Liam Payne parlava del loro prossimo singolo, Midnight Memories, che stava per essere pubblicato. Nella clip di 19 secondi dice: "In realtà è una delle canzoni che ho scritto con Louis" e "Questa è la prima canzone che abbiamo scritto per l'album e questo un po' come l'apertura della strada a questo intero album e il modo in cui tutto cambia".

Tutti i giorni dal 26 gennaio 2014, alle 16:00, hanno pubblicato una GIF su Facebook e Twitter tratte dal video musicale fino a venerdì 31, quando il video musicale è stato pubblicato alle 16:00 GMT.

Il 29 e 30 gennaio 2014 sono usciti rispettivamente i due teaser. I "dietro le quinte" sono usciti dal 7 al 10 febbraio 2014 alle 16:00.
