Ready to Run is the second track on One Direction's fourth studio album, Four.
Background[]
On September 8, 2014, the band announced the release of their fourth album, Four, on the Today Show. On November 6, 2014 the boys announced new song "Ready To Run".
"Ready To Run" was performed on the On The Road Again Tour.
The song is widely speculated to be describing a possible coming out process for Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson, particularly because their respective verses are the only ones that mention "we'll", while Liam's mentions "I'll". Louis's verse is widely speculated to be addressing homophobic people. The band has not elaborated on the possible meaning behind the lyrics.
The song also seems to share lyrical similarities to "Drag Me Down", "Strong" and "Through The Dark".
